Sarah Jane Is Back!
April 5th, 2008 by RickFinally after way too long, Sci Fi Channel started showing a new season of Battlestar Galactica. I almost forgot how last season ended.
So, now is the best time for Sci Fi to promo upcoming shows. A new season of “Dr. Who” - Yay! But not a word about what’s happening with Jericho. The cancellation and death of Jericho on CBS is fait accompli and after all of Sci Fi’s bragging that they were showing Jericho, “From the beginning,” what about showing it to the end? Oh well, maybe they’ll do that after they burn through the first half of this season’s BG episodes.
And Sci Fi surprised us by announcing the return of Elisabeth Sladen as the Doctor’s erstwhile companion, Sarah Jane Smith, in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Even though it’s a kid’s show, I’ll still be watching — I’ve liked Elisabeth/Sarah since 1978, and “Doctor Who” was originally conceived of as a kid’s show too, so why not? This is especially cool because I wasn’t holding my breath for BBC America to show it, considering their highly repetitive schedule …
Welcome back to American TV, Elisabeth. ![]()
